Forma adverbelor

Majoritatea: Adjectiv + ly (mai rar si cu substantive: every week weekly)

He is a slow runner. He runs slowly.

Ortografie:

e final nu cade: entirely, extremely (exceptie: true-truly, whole-wholly)

l final lly : beautiful beautifully

y final se transforma in I : happy happily, day daily

ll final lly : full fully

le final ly : simple simply; probable probably;

ic final ically : enthusiastic enthusiastically; automatic automatically (dar public publicly)

adj good adv well : he is a good pupil. He speaks English well.

au forme speciale: only, often, ever

sunt omonime cu alte parti de vorbire, in general adjective : She arrived fast// early// late today.

au doua forme cu sensuri diferite ; forma in -ly are deseori un sens mai abstract, figurat.

She came close and looked at me=aproape

I followed the instructions closely=indeaproape

He dug deep into the ground=adanc, la adancine

He was deeply concerned= profound

Take it easy!= usor, calm, incet

I solved the problem easily= cu usurinta, usor

This village is mostly of wooden houses=in cea mai mare parte, in general

He is pretty late=destul de

She desses prettily=dragut

Come as quick as possible=repede (engleza familiara)

He spoke quickly and confidently= repede in engleza ingrijita

She is here right now=chiar

He judged rightly= corect, bine

Go right on to the end of the street=drept, direct

She is rightly considered intelligent=pe drept, correct

Clasificare:

-adverbe de mod: well, quickly, certainly, really, absolutely, yes, of course, maybe, perhaps.

Adverbe de loc:here, somewhere, forward, left, far

Adverbe de timp: now, today, then, before, soon, lately, weekly, often, usually

Comparatia: Ca si comparatia adjectivelor
