A severe pain can sometimes appear on the right lower
abdominal region. It can mimic an inflammation of the appendix and present some
similarity to the pain of early appendicitis. Other distinguishing
characteristics are not seen; there is no rise in body temperature; there is no
guarding and tenderness in the abdominal wall and no feeling of nausea. One or
two glasses of water will relieve this lower right abdominal pain. One glass of
water can serve as a diagnostic tool in this particular condition.
